How we work

EDITORIALstandards.

How we research, write, fact-check, and correct content on The Flex Cult — and where we draw the line on advertising, sponsorships, and outside influence.

Last updated: June 2026

01. Our approach

The Flex Cult exists to give modern, busy people practical, trustworthy information on fitness, nutrition, habits, money, and minimalist living — without hype, fluff, or hidden agendas. Every piece of content published here is meant to be genuinely useful, not just something that ranks well or sells a product.

We're a small, independent team. We're not a content farm, and nothing on this site is written entirely by AI. Real people with real experience write, edit, and publish everything you read here. You can meet the team on our writers page.

02. How we research & write

  • We start from evidence. Where claims relate to health, fitness, or money, we base them on established research, official guidelines, and reputable sources — not single studies, anecdotes, or trends.
  • We test what we can. Many of our routines, templates, and tool recommendations come from things we've personally tried — workout plans, budgeting systems, productivity habits, and more.
  • We write in plain language. No unnecessary jargon. If a technical term matters, we explain it.
  • We update content over time. Guidance on fitness, nutrition, and personal finance evolves. We revisit and update older articles when our understanding changes or information goes out of date.

03. Not professional advice

Nothing on The Flex Cult is a substitute for personalised advice from a qualified professional.

Health & fitness content

Our writers are not doctors, dietitians, or certified medical professionals. Articles on training, nutrition, supplements, and sleep reflect research and personal experience, not medical advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before making significant changes to your diet, exercise routine, or supplement intake — especially if you have an existing health condition.

Money & personal finance content

Our writers are not licensed financial advisors. Articles on budgeting, saving, and investing are general, educational information intended to help you understand concepts and build habits — not personalised financial advice. Speak to a licensed professional before making major financial decisions.

04. Independence & advertising

The Flex Cult is currently completely independent and ad-free. We don't run display ads, accept paid placements, or use affiliate links anywhere on the site. No brand, company, or sponsor has any influence over what we write, recommend, or rank.

If this ever changes — for example, if we introduce affiliate links, sponsored content, or display advertising — we will clearly disclose it on the relevant pages, and this policy will be updated to reflect the change. Any recommendation we make will always reflect our genuine opinion, regardless of whether a commercial relationship exists.

For questions about partnerships or sponsorships, see our advertise page.

05. Corrections & feedback

We do our best to make sure everything we publish is accurate at the time of writing, but mistakes happen — and information changes over time.

  • Spotted an error? If you find something factually incorrect, outdated, or misleading, please let us know via our contact page.
  • How we handle it. We review every report. If a correction is warranted, we update the article as soon as possible. For significant factual errors, we may add a note indicating what was changed and when.
  • We welcome disagreement. If you think we've got something wrong on the merits — not just a factual slip — we genuinely want to hear it. Good-faith feedback makes the site better.
